As far as fair trade shops go, Ganesha is an old favourite.
Stocking reclaimed silk scarves by Coral Seed, vegetarian soap by One Village, as well as colourful bunting made from old silk saris, Ganesha is the kind of place you’ll wish you’d known about for the seemingly endless string of birthdays past.
This shop is a haven of homeware and beautiful accessories, all of which are completely Guilt Free! *insert cheesy plug*
All of Ganesha’s goods are sourced from local co-operatives and small-scale producers in India, infinity and beyond. There’s a decent selection of recycled homeware including organic bedlinen; embroidered cushions from Bangladesh; and lamps and colanders made from recycled tin.
We’re also a big fan of the thuper-cute selection of accessories: camel-wool hats, alpaca baby gloves*, and bags made from cotton, leather and recycled rice sacks.
Based in Southwark, you can’t miss the hot pink exterior.

* That’s baby gloves made from alpaca wool, NOT gloves made of baby alpaca: not ethical, man.
